good words from camp this week

This week, I have had the chance to be a counselor in Anna's 6th grade day camp group and it has been good to get a little window into her heart a bit more and to get to know some more of the girls in her youth group at UPC.

I got to go for a run while they were playing Capture the Flag today, and while I was a bit sore, it was nice to be running again after taking some time off this week.

While I was running, I thought of these two stories from the week we have been focusing on with the kids.  The first one on the feeding of the 5000 stood out to me with this line: "Jesus tells them to make the people sit down.  Jesus purposely puts them in a posture to receive..." The comment that they were able to notice the miracle because they were in a posture to receive reminded me of you. You both have been put in this posture to receive. I am praying today that you will see this as an opportunity to notice and to receive from God whatever He has for you today.

The second story (Day 5 above) also has some good words that might hit home too.
I wonder if any of us really understands the scope of what has happened in your lives with this transplant and the story God is writing through you.  I know that while the journey to understanding is indeed long that I continue to marvel and give thanks for today and for your lives and story.
