Today after church, we went on a hike up Pitcher
Canyon in Wenatchee.
As we were hiking up the canyon, Taylor was hot and was
getting tired. At several points, I put my hand on his back and pushed him up
some of the steep parts. It was of
course reminiscent of last weekend in the race when Elizabeth put her hand on
my back and pushed me to the finish line. It felt good to be able to help Taylor and to be the
one who was feeling stronger and able to give the push.
I know that even though you may be feeling spent, exhausted and in need of a push
that there will come a time when you will be
able to give someone else the push they need.
You will be the one who will be
able to push them up the hill.
In fact. your story is one that is already having that ripple effect. Your
perseverance and your stamina is inspiring and has already been one that has
inspired others (perhaps more than you will ever know).
Press on up the hills today (and know that I'm sending prayers your way to keep you going and to give you a push you to the top).
