Vitality

Yesterday, a group of us got to run in the Sunflower Relay here in the Methow Valley. It's a marathon trail run, and we split it up and ran it as relay teams.  I think I had the best leg as I got to run through the hills where so many of the wildflowers were in bloom.  And the thing about it was that it seemed that someone had turned up the color about three notches. Everything was so vibrant and the colors were popping, and I was soaking it up.

The word "vitality" came to mind and so I offer this prayer up for you all today:

The vitality of God be mine this day
the vitality of the God of life.
The passion of Christ be mine this day
the passion of the Christ of love.
The wakefulness of the Spirit be mine this day
the wakefulness of the Spirit of justice.
The vitality and passion and wakefulness of God be mine that I may be fully alive this day.
The vitality and passion and wakefulness of God
be mine that I may be fully alive. --Celtic Prayer—
