On Sunday morning, Elizabeth and I went for a run before a fun Mother's Day breakfast at our cabin that was planned. We decided not to drive anywhere, but to just leave from the cabin where we were staying for the weekend in the Methow Valley. A couple of folks recommended for us to head down the road a few miles and then turn on a road called Cub Creek Road. Little did we know how steep it would be, but we started up this hill on this road and kept going for another 3 miles until it started to level out. There were certainly a few times we wondered about turning around and giving up, but we kept each other going by talking and heading up the daunting hill.
The views were spectacular and we were not disappointed even through our quads were feeling the love of the hills for sure.
All of this to say that sometimes, it just seems that it's good to NOT know the road ahead.
We just did the only thing we knew to do which was to put one foot in front of the other and to keep going.
Praying for you all today for perseverance when your days seem to have 3 mile hills ahead of you.
